It was Rhen's birthday, my sister in law, last October 24. My family spent a week in our hometown in Pampanga for this celebration. It warms my heart to see how our relatives there welcome my kids with so much love and warmth. We were so spoiled with care and pampering. Maya't maya kain! As in!
And it kept us all busy that day. It was actually a triple birthday celebration including my son Aya and nephew Jenell last 20th and 26th respectively. For merienda, Nanay and I cooked pancit and spaghetti. All of it was consumed in no time! It was also a delight to see our super choosy nephews to eat the spaghetti. I really cooked it sweet style for the kids. So far, pasado sa panlasa nila! =)
I had to cook spaghetti again for dinner. And I also prepared salad as requested by the birthday celebrant. Its an Asian salad with sliced peaches and sugar coated beans and peanuts. It was the first time I tried to include beans courtesy of Ren and I must say the beans put it in a higher level. It was a party in my mouth!
The fried hito and grilled drumsticks are the all time phenomenon. I think, any buffet in Pampanga will not be complete without hito, either fried or grilled.
Rhen's cheesesticks are totally addictive! Im so glad she prepared another set last Friday for our own satisfaction.
And it was a blast! Except for the party popper that just won't pop! LOL!I wish I also took a picture of this buffet after dinner. Isa na lamang siyang ganap na alaala. A Certified Box Office Hit! =D
